Alfa Laval Equipment Seminar– Panama 2013

The training seminar for applications of the Alfa Laval Equipment Division was held from the 13th to the 15th of November in Panama. These applications include the processing of carbonated beverages, juices, beer, food and dairy products.

During the seminar, recently launched equipment and their adoption opportunities in different processes, with a focus on mixing applications, were covered. Some examples are the following:

  • The HPM (Hybrid Power Mixer) is a high efficiency powder mixer with a single motor drive that is able to disperse solids into liquids uniformly while simultaneously pumping the process liquid. It is an indispensible tool for food and beverage industries.
  • The IsoMix is a rotary jet mixer system using close-loop circulation within the tank, as well as in-place cleaning. This simple and efficient system can be used for the production of juices, beverages, beer fermentation and many other processes.
  • Thanks to the patented design of its impellers, the EnSaFoil agitators are extremely efficient and use surprisingly small motors. There is a large variety of models that are often used in the dairy industry, amongst others.

In addition to Sulca, other distributers and system integrators from Central America, the Caribbean and the Andean region participated in this seminar. Once again, Sulca strengthens its ties with Alfa Laval and consolidates its position as distributor in Venezuela.
