Hybrid Powder Mixer
Alfa Laval launches its new Hybrid Power Mixer (HPM) as replacement for the popular Tri-Blender. The new efficient and sanitary design includes a two-stage pump with one rotator-stator stage and one pump stage.
The main advantages are that it does not require high counter pressure or an additional pump, as most competing products do. This equipment can dissolve practically any powder in a fast and homogeneous way, generating considerable pressure in the discharge. It can be combined with IsoMix to increase the efficiency of the process and improve the tank cleaning.
The customer can benefit from lower installation and operation costs, faster dissolving rates, greater product quality, maintenance cost reduction, and a compact and mobile design. The system can handle products with a viscosity of up to 800 cP and has a reference capacity to dissolve 3000 Kg/h of powder milk
A simpler form of the HPM without the support table or wheels is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2014.
